MAC's
Child Abuse Prevention Council (CAPC) provides leadership
in the prevention of child abuse through community
education and training, and promotes policies and services
that help support families and children.

CAPC
activities include:

Training
for mandated reporters – Many
employees working with children (teacher aides,
therapists, child care providers, etc.) are mandated
by law to report suspected child abuse. CAPC offers
classes free of charge for mandated reporters and
others working with children, to clarify the rules
and procedures of the law. If you or your group
would like to schedule or find out more about these
trainings, please call 415-507-0181.

public health concerns, promoting health education
and inter-agency coordination.
