Runway 2009 was held April 9, 2009, at the beautiful Stonetree Golf Club. It was an elegant evening of fashion, dining auctions and speakers. Women’s fashions were provided by Betty Ann of Novato and models featured a CASA volunteer, former CASA youth, local politicians, corporate donors, friends of MAC and three of Novato’s finest firefighters. Jan Wahl was our emcee and auctioneer, raising the level of excitement during the evening. Despite these challenging economic times, Runway 2009, raised over $60,000 to support the Marin CASA program and the Marin Child Abuse Prevention Council program. Thank you to all the corporate and individual donors as well as the volunteers who helped make the event such a wonderful success.

Kids 4 Kids Lemonade Stands – April is Child Abuse Prevention month and this year five Marin families hosted lemonade stands every weekend during April. The children sold lemonade and cookies and donated their proceeds to Marin Advocates for Children to help Marin County’s abused and neglected children. Awards were given to the most creatively decorated stands. Thank you to all the children and their families for such a great job! Planning has already begun for next year.
